"Repeat rebloomers" is a term generally reserved for a certain handful of border-perennials who will do just that, or have that capacity. Not often do rock-garden plants get to own that title, often hailing from places so seasonal that they are inextricably tied to a speciific flash-in-the-pan bloom season(and a glorious one worth every ephemeral penny).
Until the temperature hit 100F (38C), and starting in March or April, this extra-cute Carnation has been in bloom. It is not a desert plant, but is small enough that its water consumption is worth each draindrop-splash of pink.
